Family Education Grants

The four stage Family Education grant program (Program, Planning, Expansion, Sh'arim) recognizes the many different ways our congregations, schools, and community centers design and implement their Family Education programs.

They form a continuum of stages through which institutions can intensify their involvement in and financial support of Jewish Family Education. At each level, institutions, professionals, and lay leaders will experience the six dimensions of family education development common to all of our initiatives: consultation, training, lay involvement, networking, resource and program development, and reporting/research.

The BJE consultants encourage institutions to develop structures, personnel and lay leaders and to plan and implement a family education agenda thoughtfully. Grant levels are also marked by increasing levels of CJP/COJC&E funding, a portion of which is to be matched by the recipient institution from it own budget, thereby systemically integrating Family Education within the ongoing educational activities of each institution. Supporting that goal, every applying institution will be serviced by the BJE's Family Education consultant, who will be available to work with your institution's team in determining which grant level to apply for, help assess your needs and design appropriate programmatic responses.
